Tigris Resources is a private exploration company focused on discovering, acquiring and developing gold and copper projects in the emerging, underexplored and highly prospective south-eastern region of Turkey.

Tigris has been building on its first-mover advantage and has attained porphyry copper and gold targets and copper gold districts under license and has also identified highly prospective areas for further exploration. This has been achieved in its own name and also with its joint venture partner.

The Tigris management team has a proven track record in building companies and discovering resources in emerging environments.

South - eastern Turkey is a region, roughly the size of the UK, that hosts potential for large porphyry gold and copper deposits. The development of exploration and mining in this region has lagged behind the rest of the country due to historic instability and perceived lack of available ground due to indiscriminate over-staking by local individuals and small private companies. Because of this it remains Turkey’s most prospective region for the discovery of world class mineral deposits.

Revisions to the Turkish Mining Law in 2010, requires minimum expenditure on all licenses resulting in a large proportion of unexplored prospective terrain becoming available in 2011 and Tigris Resources is now ideally positioned to take full advantage of this position.
